As the classes are online, I can participate in the lessons from the comfort of my home which is always a bonus! They find her kind, fun and approachable. If they don’t understand something, she is quick to help and explains things clearly. There is an emphasis on speaking but her sessions also cover listening, reading and writing. My kids have also learned a lot about Italian culture. They thoroughly enjoy Michela’s classes and are keen to continue. Both have come on in leaps and bounds. My son was able to sit Higher Italian on the back of his sessions and my daughter has the same intentions. Both of them were confident speaking Italian on a recent holiday to Italy. The pace of learning is not too fast and is probably going to be suitable for most people. The lesson topics and vocabulary covered are also practical and will be of immediate use. Previously in Italy I was limited to a few basic phrases relating to food and drink, but now the mystery of Italian verbs and adjectives is beginning to open up before me. This has already given me more confidence with the spoken language. Now all I need is for my health to improve sufficiently such that I can visit Italy again and practice on the locals. But Michela did an awesome job at making this online experience interactive not only with herself but also with other students.
